Method C · Gateway to Gateway

UART GATEWAY API · PCB INTEGRATION

You do not need the whole gateway enclosure. Take the board inside an OWON gateway and dock it to the MCU of your own device — a hub, a panel, an appliance controller — over UART. Your firmware then drives the gateway through the UART protocol, using the same Gateway API command format as Methods A and B. Your product gains a certified Zigbee 3.0 master, device pairing, local logic and OTA without developing one yourself.

How the Stack Splits

1

Your product

Your enclosure, your MCU, your power supply, your firmware.

2

UART link

The OWON gateway board docks to your MCU over UART — the same command language as every other gateway path.

3

Zigbee network

The board acts as Zigbee master: pairing, reporting, control and OTA for OWON devices around it.

Typical Fits

  • OEM / ODM manufacturers embedding Zigbee capability into their own gateway or control product
  • Building-automation panels that need a maintenance-free Zigbee coordinator on-board
  • Products where the cloud side is entirely yours — the board only speaks UART to your MCU
