Water Leakage Sensor
ZigBee 3.0 water leakage sensor with immediate alerting, two AAA batteries and smart device linkage for server rooms, warehouses and apartments.
Overview
The WLS316 is a ZigBee 3.0 water leakage sensor. When water reaches the sensing point it reports immediately — the normal heartbeat is once an hour — so a leak is signaled while it is still a small puddle rather than after it has reached the floor below.
Where It Is Used
- Server rooms and telecom cabinets — under raised floors and at air-conditioning drain points
- Warehouses and storage areas — under sprinkler risers, near loading doors
- Apartments and rental units — under sinks, beside water heaters, behind washing machines
- Hotel plant rooms and guest bathrooms — the same sensor covers both, without new wiring
How It Behaves

Placement Notes
- One sensor per point where water can collect. A wall-mounted unit covers the area around it; a plant room with several water sources needs one at each, not one for the room.
- Put it where the water arrives first — under the unit, at the drain, at the low corner of a raised floor.
- Wireless matters here. Because it is battery-powered and needs no cabling, it can go where a wired leak detector cannot economically reach.
