PC4711-W-E-TY single-phase meter with Ethernet, white body and two open-type CT clamps on coiled leads

PC4711-W-E-TY

Single-Phase WiFi + Ethernet Smart Energy Meter

UniClip with a cable: single-phase Tuya meter on WiFi with an Ethernet 10/100 Mbps path for weak-signal cabinets, two 300 A CTs, 15-second reporting.

Smart Meters Tuya WiFi RJ45

Overview

PC4711-W-E-TY answers one site problem: the meter has to live where the wireless signal does not reach. It is the PC4711-W-TY metering core with an Ethernet 10/100 Mbps port added, so data travels on a cable while Wi-Fi stays available for the BLE-assisted setup.

The rest is the single-phase UniClip platform: 230 V AC nominal, a 90-277 V input range, up to two open-type CTs from 80 A to 300 A, bidirectional energy measurement and 15-second reporting into the Tuya App. No relay - this model is about the signal, not switching.

PC4711-W-E-TY Platform and Integration Notes

Offline storage, so a dropout is not a gap in the record. Readings are held locally and re-reported automatically once the network returns — which covers the wired link being down as well as the wireless one.

Export and history are the change from the previous generation. The free Tuya app on earlier models kept 7 days of history and could not export hourly data; this meter exports, with history by day, week, month and year.

CT setting, data erase and remote reboot from the App. A clamp can be re-ranged or a record cleared without a site visit.

Tuya App, and Home Assistant. The App is the primary front end for readings and history, and the meter also integrates with Home Assistant.

Bidirectional by default. Consumption and solar export are measured in one device.

PC4711-W-E-TY Limits and What to Specify Instead

  • Relay output — not fitted. The PC4711-W-E-TY/R carries both this Ethernet port and the dry-contact relay.
  • Three-phase, split-phase or 3P3W supplies — a single-phase meter; three-phase services need the PC4713 range, and a 3P3W or delta supply specifically needs the PC4713-W-E-TY/3W.
  • A third metering channel — up to two CTs here; three single-phase circuits need the PC4711-W-TY/3CT.
  • Your own server as the destination — PC4711-W or PC4711-W-485 from the Open API range.

Key Benefits

Ethernet 10/100 Alongside Wi-Fi

A wired path for the cabinet, basement or plant room where the wireless signal does not reach, with Wi-Fi still available.

Two Open-Type CTs, No Rewiring

Up to two split-core CTs from 80 A to 300 A clip around the existing cable, with no supply interruption.

Data Export With Day-to-Year History

Export from the App with history by day, week, month and year, plus offline storage that re-reports automatically after a dropout.

Accurate Where It Is Hard

Voltage ±1%, current ±1% at rated and ±2% at low current, with the band stated per CT rating.

Ideal For

Common deployment scenarios where Single-Phase WiFi + Ethernet Smart Energy Meter delivers the most value.

Metal Cabinets and Basements

The wired Ethernet path keeps the meter reachable where a wireless signal does not.

Sites with Existing Cabling

Where a network drop already reaches the board, the meter uses it instead of relying on Wi-Fi.

Commercial Submetering

Single-phase circuits metered where the reading is taken remotely rather than at the board.

Solar Self-Consumption

Bidirectional measurement shows production and consumption on the same circuit.

Commissioning Without Signal Hunting

Wi-Fi handles the BLE-assisted first pairing; Ethernet carries the ongoing reporting.

Distributor and OEM Programmes

Neutral standard units, with branding and packaging available.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Ethernet port worth paying for?
When the meter will sit somewhere Wi-Fi struggles - a metal distribution cabinet, a basement, a plant room - and a network cable is already available or can be pulled to the board. On an open wall with good Wi-Fi reception the PC4711-W-TY does the same job for less.
Does the Ethernet port replace Wi-Fi?
No, it sits alongside it. Wi-Fi remains the wireless link and handles the BLE-assisted first pairing; the wired port gives the meter a stable path when the wireless signal is poor.
What CT options are available?
Two open-type CT clamps, 80 A to 300 A, with inner diameters of 10, 16, 20 or 24 mm.
Is this a different meter from the relay versions?
It shares the metering core and the 15-second Tuya reporting, but has no relay output. Choose the /R version if the circuit also has to be switched.
