Single-Phase WiFi Smart Energy Meter with Relay
Single-phase Tuya meter that can act, not just report: two 300 A CTs plus a 3 A / 5 A dry-contact relay for switching a load or driving a contactor.
Overview
PC4711-W-TY/R is the model to choose when metering alone is not enough. It has the same single-phase metering as the base UniClip, plus a dry-contact relay rated 3 A resistive / 5 A maximum with overload protection.
That relay is the difference between a meter that reports and one that acts: switch a heater or charger from the App, or let a Tuya automation switch when measured power crosses a threshold. Above the contact rating it drives an external contactor. Relay status is reported instantly, so the App never shows a stale state.
PC4711-W-TY/R Platform and Integration Notes
Automation on measured values. Paired with Tuya scenes, the relay switches on a power threshold or a schedule rather than only on a manual tap — which is what turns metering into demand-based control.
Offline storage, so a dropout is not a gap in the record. Readings are held locally and re-reported automatically once the network returns.
CT re-ranging, data erase and remote reboot without a visit. A clamp specification can be changed or the record cleared from the App.
Tuya App, and Home Assistant. Readings and relay state are read in the Tuya App, and both are also visible in Home Assistant.
PC4711-W-TY/R Limits and What to Specify Instead
- Ethernet — not fitted. The PC4711-W-E-TY/R carries the relay and the 10/100 Mbps port together.
- Three-phase loads switched directly — the dry contact is rated 3 A resistive / 5 A maximum; a three-phase circuit is switched through an external contactor driven by the relay.
- Three-phase, split-phase or 3P3W supplies — a single-phase meter; those services need the PC4713 range, and a 3P3W or delta supply specifically needs the PC4713-W-E-TY/3W.
- Your own server as the destination — PC4711-W or PC4711-W-485 from the Open API range.
