Single-Phase Multi-Channel Smart Energy Meter
Three single-phase circuits in one Tuya meter: three CTs measured independently, no Ethernet, and a lower host cost than a three-phase meter.
Overview
PC4711-W-TY/3CT is the multi-channel member of the single-phase range. It takes three open-type CT clamps where the other models take two, and reads each circuit independently, so three separate single-phase loads or tenants come from one 19 mm module instead of three.
The distinction that matters: this is three single-phase circuits, not a three-phase meter. There are no phases to configure and no phase-to-phase voltage to measure - which is why it is the cheaper route for three single-phase circuits, and why a three-phase service still needs a PC4713. Platform otherwise unchanged: 90-277 V input, CTs 20 A to 300 A, bidirectional metering, 15-second Tuya reporting.
PC4711-W-TY/3CT Platform and Integration Notes
Where the cost saving comes from. Three single-phase circuits metered by one module costs less than a three-phase instrument, because there is no phase-to-phase voltage measurement and no phase configuration to carry.
Offline storage, so a dropout is not a gap in the record. Readings are held locally and re-reported automatically once the network returns.
CT setting, data erase and remote reboot from the App. A channel can be re-ranged or the record cleared without a site visit.
Tuya App, and Home Assistant. All three circuits are read in the Tuya App, and all three are also available in Home Assistant.
Alerts, and App languages. Notifications are pushed to the App rather than being checked for manually each day, and the App is available in German, French, Spanish and Italian as well as English.
PC4711-W-TY/3CT Limits and What to Specify Instead
- Three-phase measurement — this is three single-phase channels, not a three-phase meter. A three-phase four-wire, split-phase or 3P3W service needs the PC4713 range, and a 3P3W or delta supply specifically needs the PC4713-W-E-TY/3W.
- Relay output — not fitted. Load switching is on the PC4711-W-TY/R and PC4711-W-E-TY/R.
- Ethernet — not available on the three-CT model; the two-CT PC4711-W-E-TY offers the wired port.
- Your own server as the destination — PC4711-W or PC4711-W-485 from the Open API range.
