Overview

PC4713-W-TY/R is the three-phase Tuya meter that can act as well as report. It adds a dry-contact relay — 3 A resistive, 5 A maximum, with overload protection — to the Wi-Fi metering core of the PC4713-W-TY.

The relay switches a small load directly, or drives an external contactor when the load is larger or the circuit is three-phase. Relay status is reported to the App immediately, so a control action is confirmed at once instead of at the next data cycle, which is what makes threshold-based switching on measured power workable in practice.

Where the PC4713-W-TY/R Sits in the Range

The relay is the reason to choose this model over the PC4713-W-TY; three CT inputs, Wi-Fi, the Tuya platform and the export and erase behaviour are all shared. Ethernet is not fitted here — the PC4713-W-E-TY/R is the model that carries the relay and the wired port together.

Two requirements sit outside the Tuya line. A three-phase three-wire or delta service needs the PC4713-W-E-TY/3W, and reporting into your own cloud or local server needs the PC4713 Open API hardware, PC4713-W or PC4713-W-485.

Reports into the Tuya Cloud, read in the Tuya App. Live values plus history by day, week, month and year. Grid and energy values can be exported to and imported from other Tuya devices, which is how the relay is driven by a scene rather than only by hand.

Offline storage with automatic re-report. Readings are held locally and re-sent after the network returns, so a dropout does not leave a hole in the record.

Notification and language coverage. Alerts are pushed to the App, which carries German, French, Spanish and Italian as well as English.

Reactive and apparent power on the home screen, so power factor is visible without opening a chart.

Standard Tuya DPs keep Home Assistant working. Standard data points wherever possible, custom DPs only where needed.

PC4713-W-TY/R Limits and What to Specify Instead

Ethernet — not fitted. The PC4713-W-E-TY/R carries the relay and the wired port together.
Three-phase three-wire and delta — the PC4713-W-E-TY/3W is built for that supply.
Switching a three-phase load on the contacts — the rating suits a small load or a contactor coil; the three-phase circuit is switched through that contactor.
Any destination other than the Tuya Cloud — the Open API series is the self-hosted route.

No. The dry contact is rated 3 A resistive and 5 A maximum with overload protection, which suits a small load or a contactor coil. A three-phase load is switched by an external contactor driven by the relay, so the meter controls a circuit it does not carry.
